Qur’ānic Arabic

Course Description: Qur’ānic Arabic is designed to help middle school students build a meaningful connection with the Qur’ān by helping them understand the language in which it was revealed. This course introduces students to essential Qur’ānic vocabulary covering over 50% of Qur’ānic vocabulary, basic grammar concepts, common phrases, and recurring patterns found throughout the Qur’ān.

Students will learn how Arabic words are formed, how simple Qur’ānic sentences are structured, and how recognizing repeated words can help them better understand what they recite and hear in salah. The course focuses on gradual learning, practical examples, and Qur’ān-based exercises rather than overwhelming students with advanced grammar.

By the end of the 14 weeks, students will be able to recognize many common Qur’ānic words and begin developing the tools needed for deeper Qur’ān comprehension.
