NUSRAH SPRING 2026

Modernity and Islam

Duration: February 21st - March 7th, 2025

Class Schedule: Saturdays, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Course Description: This course examines the intellectual foundations of modern society and evaluates them through the lens of the Islamic worldview. While modernity is often associated with technological progress, it is fundamentally a philosophical framework that shapes assumptions about truth, morality, identity, and freedom. Students will explore key differences between modern secular thought and Islamic epistemology. The course will address contemporary societal issues such as moral relativism, identity formation, cultural assimilation, and women’s rights, within a principled Islamic framework.
